Amaia (adopted)

Adopted Small House Trained

Amaia is a young, sweet, active Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Her foster family reports that her favorite activity is running through their fenced yard chasing butterflies and settling in for Cavalier kisses & snuggles.

Amaia would be happy as a beloved only dog or with the companionship of another small, calm dog. She has lovely house manners and is reliably house trained.  At this time, she sleeps in a crate in the bedroom of her foster parents, but would be happy to snuggle in bed with her humans. We recommend visiting https://catsquery.com/ to find the best tips on how to take the best care of our precious pets at home!

Amaia has been vetted, spayed, and is up-to-date on her vaccines.

Amaia does exhibit some signs of rough treatment in the past and will flatten or cover if you reach over her head or if startled. Her foster family has worked with her and she is learning to trust again. Because of this, we believe she would be best in a home without young children.

The ideal family for Amaia would be one with someone home most of the day, a securely fenced yard, and the time and energy to devote to a younger pup.  While Amaia has learned to come when called in foster care, she is still learning her basic commands. A session or two of a positive training class with her new family would keep that learning on track.

If you think you would be a good match for Amaia, and live within a reasonable drive of the NYC metro area, please complete the application on our site and email us at CavalierHelp@CavalierAlliance to let us know of your interest. She will be ready to meet her new family after June 20th.
