Todd (Adopted)

Adopted Small

Todd’s on the mend, loves romping in the yard and looking for a family of his own. He’s come a long way since joining our program.  He originally was found as a stray, emaciated and with severe infections. The shelter started him on a road to health and we have been able to continue it was additional vetting and the great care of his foster mom.  His skin condition has resolved and his hair is growing back in.  He looks more cavalier-like every day.  His personality has started to emerge and he loves to play ball and is just a goofy, velcro boy.

Toddy loves running around the house, and romping with his foster sister. He does not completely understand toys, but does emulate the other dog and now he picks up toys and squeaks them. He also likes to hid them!

Todd is a good boy in the house, consistent with his house training and has had no accidents.   He loves to cuddle up and sleep on a human lap or prefers the big bed instead of a crate.

Todd has a grade 2 heart murmur, common to the breed and his vet indicated no heart enlargement was seen on the radiograph. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on vaccines.

Todd is an escape artist and can squeeze through the smallest opening in a fence, and is quick to dart out a door.  Typical of cavaliers, he has limited recall.  To keep this sweet boy safe, adopters will need a securely fenced yard and plan to keep a hand on Toddy when they open anyl doors in their house.

This little guy is a gem and will be an amazing companion. He is learning a lot from his foster sibling, but could be an only. He is also potentially good with cats as he ignores the cat in his foster home.
